Karol Frenkel and the tradition of ethics

Abstract Karol Frenkel was one of Kazimierz Twardowski’s first disciples to undertake an attempt develop their own concept ethics. In his case, the process developing ethical involved questioning tradition in which he had been educated. Accordingly, able formulate original independent doctoral dissertation, analyzed two systems, formulated by David Hume and Arthur Schopenhauer respectively sought determinants affective sphere. For Frenkel, these proposals turned out be unsatisfactory, thus proposed solution derived from accepted morality. From today’s perspective, it reflection Poland referring scientific ethics, – chronologically speaking many respects preceded analogous solutions later British analytical philosophers.
